NGO networks and coalitions at national level

Networks and coalitions play a very important role in involving communities yet their contribution is not captured in the overall humanitarian architecture. The main focus of this panel discussion was to identify various issues related to successes of NGO networks and coalitions at national level and key challenges in terms of achieving outcomes for emergency coordination after various kinds of emergencies at national level.

The panel discussed how national networks add value in terms of communicating with affected populations and ensuring accountability through working with governments and other stakeholders. There was sharing of some of the best practices adopted by various national networks based on the situations of emergency and different strategies adopted by panellists in their respective countries.
