This is the third time that the Philippines is hosting the launching of the 2022 State of the Humanitarian System Report. The last two were in 2018 and 2015. This 2022 edition looks at the period from January 2018 to December 2021. It assesses the size, shape, and performance of the humanitarian system against key criteria over time. It is an independent study based on evidence from frontline practitioners, crisis-affected populations, academics, policy-makers, and donors. What’s new in this edition is the inclusion of a chapter on localisation which is of great interest to the Philippine Preparedness Partnership (PhilPrep) as a partnership engagement model of localisation.

PhilPrep and Oxfam will be hosting the launching of this valuable and significant report being key stakeholders in humanitarian preparedness and response.
