HNPW2019: The State of the Humanitarian System 2018

Date
6 Feb 2019
Time
09:00 - 20:00, GMT

The fifth Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW) will be held at the International Conference Centre (CICG) in Geneva, Switzerland from 4-8 February 2019.

The event will host the annual meetings and consultations of humanitarian Networks and Partnerships and bring together experts in crisis preparedness and response from a diversity of organizations and countries to identify solutions to common humanitarian challenges.

Humanitarian Aid is a field that increasingly receives attention at universities and colleges. More and more students and youth are interested in contributing their skills, knowledge and expertise to support those in need and the humanitarian community in general. Students from a wide variety of backgrounds are investigating, developing, experimenting and innovating topics in field of humanitarian aid. This next generation is eager to get involved! However, it is not always easy for this new generation to connect with humanitarian organizations. Or -vice versa- for humanitarian organizations to tap into this potential.

At HNPW 2019, we invite students (Bachelor, Master, PhD) to share their research, innovations, developments and insights with the humanitarian community in three interactive sessions centered around The State of the Humanitarian System' report. The sessions provide a starting point for connections between the research and the people of the next generation to connect with and support humanitarians. The sessions are an excellent way for humanitarians to learn about ongoing developments and find ways to collaborate with driven students and help shape their work into real-world applications.
